You are stardust and silence,
the bite of crisp nori,
pouring cream into a paper cup,
a waste of perfectly good substance
in a fading vessel.
I wrestle with vanity in silence,
Profanity purging lips of whispers,
I know the way you lie
like lions purr to their cubs...
the quiet glimmer in your eyes,
the ties which bind us
keep us.
